Too often we focus on individual states of an application or website we're designing, when in the end actual use is something much more fluid. It's important to consider the 'inbetweens' as a way to reinforce parts of the experience.

Johannes Tonollo has put together a great resource that outlines a number of key animation and transition techniques that any designer can benefit from.

So impressed that this made it on air! Some props to some pretty clever people at Fox (I guess???) that made this a reality. Wow.

At version 10, I was really hoping for something more substantial. Sure Ping sounds fun and makes sense for Apple to step into, but we really need something better to address the media overload we all have currently in iTunes. And some album artwork in list view and a new icon aren't going to cut it.
